Social Networking Conference 12 Feb 2009 – update

Filed under: Uncategorized — freelancefundraiser @ 7:36 pm

I can now update the speakers list for the Internet, Email, blogging and Social Networking Conference at the National Railway Museum, York on 12 Feb 09.

We are pleased that Chris Garrett, who is a professional blogger, Internet Marketing Consultant, new media industry commentator, writer, coach, speaker, trainer and web geek. Chris will be showing us how you can create websites using WordPress, rather than traditional html coding. This will be of particular interest to smaller charities who don’t have a massive budget for creating and maintaining a website.

We will also be welcoming The Dogs Trust, who have been one of the charities pioneering the use of Web 2.0 Social Media/Networking for their fundraising, awareness raising and doggy adoption. They will be providing us with a practical case study of how charities can harness this free medium to promote themselves, grow supporters and even raise funds.

Publicity for the event should be ready in the next two weeks, so watch out for further information.
