The 15 October 2008 is designated as Blog Action Day, a day where bloggers around the globe can use their blog to help make a difference in our world. The theme for 2008 Blog Action Day is Poverty.
Signing up is free and simple and there are options for written blogs, photo blogs and video blogs. Bloggers are also encouraged to use the occasion to make a financial contribution to either a poverty related charity, or to make a loan to enable a third world micro-business to set up.
This is a brilliant example of what using Web 2.0 can achieve, when people pull together and make their voices known. Please get involved yourself, using your blog and your audience to help combat world poverty.
